It is opening night of Irving Bubbalowe’s new restaurant just over the Canadian border. He is waiting for the arrival of his world renown Italian singing chef, Francois LaPlouffe to really put his restaurant on the map. What he gets instead is a delivery man trying to steal from the Chicago mob boss; a gangster shootout; a murder investigation; a daughter who is out to deceive him, if only to help him in the long run; and a Canadian Mountie who is there to investigate a murder, if only they could find the body! Will the restaurant ever get opened?
